I'm a teenager and I've always suffered with anxiety in social situations. Today, in my healthcare class, we learned how to check pulse, when I checked mine it was above 100(102-108). When we used the pulseoxdometer(not sure if I spelled that right). It was in the 120 range. This really scared me. I'm a somewhat healthy person, and I eat what a normal teenager eats nowadays. I also do gymnastics a and tennis, and I don't tire as easily as most girls in my class. So I chalked up the high heart rate as social anxiety. When I'm around people my heart rate tends to go up. Also, taking pulse and blood pressure make me nervous. I also didn't get much sleep the night before. However, that could have nothing to do with it. I think it's social anxiety. If you have any other possible diagnosis, please inform me of them. Also, what are ways that I can overcome social anxiety? I've been searching on the internet for years for solutions, but nothing every seems to work! I really need help. I don't want to live life scared to talk or present my work. When I'm presenting something, I get lightheaded, sweaty, fidgety. I even stutter. Please help!
