Hello Mary

Mary, when I read your post, I just wanted to cry for you. I suffered a deep clinical depression and horrible anxiety for nearly a year. One of the most tormenting symptoms was waking constantly with the first line of "Mary had a little lamb" running non-stop through my head. It was just horrible. Horrible. I think one has to experience it to truly understand what it does to a person.

At the time, I was on a few heavy duty meds for the depression, but I really don't remember if the song line in my head started before or after the meds. I do remember it was for sure occurring during the med use in the beginning.

Currently (many years later now) I continue on 20mgs of Lexapro daily. I am okay. :-)

I truly pray that this tormenting singing ceases quickly. You are not "nuts," Friend. Your brain chemicals are just out of balance.

Hope to hear from you again.
