... i was wondering if anyone tried all three and which one they thought was the better one. and was any side affects was worse then any. i'm taking .05 reg xanax now 4 times a day but doc said if it dont work very good might switch to clonopin. ... (11 replies)
... The Xanax worked very well for me, but my MD doesn't do refills on it. Lexapro and Paxil had an awful effect on me and the Xanax when needed was just enough to get me through the night if I was dealing with the irregular heartbeat for hours. ... (11 replies)
... As with Paxil CR, I don't think Xanax Xr is necessary. The regular Xanax because it absorbs quicker makes it better to take on an as needed basis. Klonopin absorbs a little slower but lasts longer. ... (11 replies)

... I also have tried Xanax and Klonpin. ... (11 replies)
... Thanks ~ I am going to my gynecologist this week because I'm thinking it's hormonal/peri-menopause. I'm only 40, but the heartbeat irregularity is worse during certain times of my cycle. I'm hoping she will be able to prescribe it for me. How do you go about finding an MD that will not have a problem prescribing it? Would I have to go to a psychiatrist for that kind of... ... Klonopin or the generic of is a benzo. I take the generic of klonopin and have used xanax...I feel like most of the others that the klonopin is so much nicer cuz it does not have to be taken as often. If you are seeing aDr. that won't prescribe this to you....go find a new Dr. because no one should have to live with anxiety. I am going through peri-meno right now and so my... (11 replies)
... they are all valium type meds and so all much the same, klonapin lasts longer than xanax, xanaxXR is overpriced and not worth the extra money, IMO 4mg klonapin every day is too high a dose, IMO, you should be using CBT and new relaxation skills also (11 replies)
... This is what the pharmacist told me. Ativan is the fastest acting. You will within minutes feel it taking affect. It also stops working sooner. Xanax takes about 20 minutes to take affect but it will be longer acting. ... (6 replies)
... Lorri, you need to call differant Drs and tell them that you suffer from GAD (I assume thats what you have, like the rest of us) and some Drs treat alot of patients with this. For instance, when I met my Dr he told me that over 30% of his patients were being treated for this...it was very common to him. Please do see a Gyno too....a hormone test will not do any good because... (11 replies)
... To answer the question about what Seroquel is, it was originally designed for psychosis...But dont let that scare you, you gotta remember that so many medications we take were designed for reasons other than for the reason we are taking them. Such as Klonopin was originally designed strictly for seizures, it was not until very recently even listed in the PDR as an anti-... (11 replies)
... So, Mr. Jeff.... If that Seroquel was not designed for anxiety, could you please tell me what type of drug it is? I'd like to try something else, but anything except another SSRI. Do you know what the generic name for it is, (so I can look it up on this list I refer to) Thanks, Deda (11 replies)
... I have also tried all, xanex is more like a "band-aid" only lasting for so long, where klonopin is a continous med. I have been on klonopin for 3 years, started at 1 mg 2 x day and now yesterdy was put on 1 mg 4x day. I take one in am and the other 3 before bed.. Good luck! Hailey (11 replies)
... Hi-- I've taken both for anxiety, and truthfully, the Xanex worked like a dream, that is, back when you could find a Dr. to prescribe it for you. I now take .1 Klonopin, and it works okay. This is the generic tho, and when I have had the brand name Klonopin, I only needed .5, and it was just as effective. I was on Zoloft 10 years ago, which worked great, got rid of every...
