... Yes, your hormones can do this to you. When I first came down with the anxiety/panic, I couldn't stabllize either. Eventually, signed up for therapy with a psychologist/psychotherapist. I took Xanax and still was freaking out. My therapist told me I suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Ok. Finally after two weeks or so, I accepted that and it made me feel real... ... Karrie, I have been taking paxil for a while, and never had side effects from starting it. I did though have those symptoms from stopping it. There are quite a few effective SSRI's out there, and some may not work for others. I was taking lexapro, and it made me feel HORRIBLE! ... Look into getting involved in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) I was on meds for many years before I found cbt and it cured me and got me off meds in a remarkably short period of time. Best of all once you learn the tools in cbt you have them forever so you are able to give yourself relief almost instantly whenever you are feeling stressed, anxious or down. It's all about... Hi, Ive had several of your problems and agree they are horrible, however they cant damage you permanently and there are worse medical problems lexapro often helps all the problems you mention, maybe your dose should be upped to get it working properly, what is your dose now? more exercise, especially long walks will also help by relaxing you :p (4 replies)

... Hi Kelle, It's the way nyou are thinking about things that are causing your upset and anxiety. have you heard of Cognitive behavioral Therapy (CBT)? It teaches you tools that allow you to think more clearly (and less anxiously). I was on meds for years before finding CBT and now I am off all meds and feeling the best I have ever felt in my life.
