... I just want to curl up and go to bed. Even though the label on the Clonazapam said 0.5 twice daily, I have started using it on an "as needed" basis. I take my Lexapro daily as perscribed, and I only take the Clonazapam when I have unbearable anxiety that is going to keep me from performing my normal duties. ... (18 replies)

... is that initially AD's can cause increased anxiety like you wouldn't believe. I first tried Lexapro about a year ago and I didn't really have any side effects besides fatigue, but it just didn't work at all for my anxiety. ... (18 replies)

... g. I asked about Celexa, and they said there is the same interaction, but not to a severe degree, only moderate. I could call my Dr. and try that one I guess. Lexapro and Zoloft did not work for me, so I'm running out of options. ... (9 replies)

... Mrs. lee That's how I felt while on Lex for 6 years. I am beginning to feel better, although still not sleeping like I used to. Maybe that's good, maybe I needed so much sleep and couldn't get up because I felt so terrible for the last 6 months I haven't taken Lex. May I ask what dose you take? Right now, I am only taking half of my 10 mg and my ENT and family doc said... (12 replies)
... For me - Zoloft doesn't give Me dry mouth - it could for others. Withdrawal side effects of...? Which? For me getting off of Lex was brain zaps. Doubt dizzyness 6 mos out is a side effect of being off especially after being off that long. Dizzyness is a symptom of anxiety though... ... Sorry, but does Zoloft not give you dry mouth? That does annoy me. Also, what are withdrawal side effects? Could it be the chronic dizziness that I had for the last 6 months since going off it in December? (12 replies)
... Thanks for the info! I tried paxil and zoloft and remember that I felt like a zombie -- no feeling about anything. Lex worked the best for me and actually, I think it's starting to finally kick in in a positive way. Take care. (12 replies)
... I was on Lex for 9 mos or so. Took down the anxiety very little - made me feel empty, other side effects were dry-mouth - sexual side effects were very unpleasant. Ended up getting off just to feel something... months later I asked for something else to combat the anxiety - was given a script for Zoloft, much better. Did have the insomnia for a spell - talked to my... (12 replies)
... Hi, can you tell me why you said Lex stinks? (12 replies)
... Lex stinks. Try something else - Zoloft, Paxil or whatever. It doesn't seem to be your cup o tea any more. Zoloft Paxil or something else. Take it in the morning so it doesn't affect your sleep so much -- talk to your doc (12 replies)
... I'm on 20mg (started at 10mg last January) and it has helped a lot -- but it has not completely eliminated my "trigger" anxiety thoughts; it just keeps them from gaining "traction" so I don't spiral into a fear loop. Next time I see my doctor for a dosage check, I'm going to ask him if he thinks I need to go a little higher with the dosage. I'm fortunate that I haven't... (6 replies)
... I'm on 10mgs right now. I've only been on it for about a week so I can't say if it's working or not, but I think the dosage is too high for me because I'm having WICKED side effects, to the point where I pretty much hate this drug. I'm going to cut back to 5mgs and see what happens. 10mgs I think is the standard dosage and I believe you can go up to 15mgs or 20mgs. (6 replies)
... 20 mg in the morning...it's a lifesaver for me! (5 replies)
... I am now on 20 and have been for a few weeks. I am waiting for the positive side effects to kick in. But I feel that 20mg is a good dose. (5 replies)
... Started on 5mg (big mistake!). Went to 10mg and this dose suits me just fine. Getting back to life is good :) Per my doc, either 10mg or 20mg is considered a "theraputic" dose. It's about finding the one that works for you. Best wishes! (5 replies)
