Here's what I found about Lexapro: The most common adverse events reported with LEXAPRO vs placebo (approximately 5% or greater and approximately 2X placebo) were nausea, insomnia, ejaculation disorder, somnolence, increased sweating, fatigue, decreased libido, and anorgasmia. ... sadly the first choice is often the one thats most expensively advertised or promoted to docs, and maybe pays the most frequent flyer points! if wanting a SSRI, consider generic prozac, its cheaper and prozac has been studied a lot all over the world for a long time so is the safest, I dont think any of the newer SSRI's have been shown to be any better (4 replies)
