... Hi there. I take Xanax. I take .25 two or three times a day depending on how high my anxiety level is. Lately I've been taking it three times a day. The only effect I feel is that I'm more calm. I don't feel "woozy", "foggy", "out of it", "high" or anything else like that. Sometimes I do feel just slightly dizzy for a few seconds, but that's about it. It's been a... (12 replies)
... Hey guys. I have a prescription for Ativan (lorazepam) for panic attacks, but I'm afraid to try it. I would appreciate if those of you who have used Ativan, or any other benzo (Valium, Xanax, Klonopin, etc.) would tell me what your experience with them has been like. What do they make you feel like? If you take one in the middle of a panic attack, does the panic go away? ... (12 replies)

... First, you need to realize that everyone's body adjusts to meds. in a different way. A .5 dose of Xanax can usually help me for about 5 hours, depending on what I'm doing. I take Xanax 4 times a day. .5 in morning, .5 around noon, .5 around 5 PM, and 1 mg. ... (7 replies)
... You don't say how you are mixing them. It is not good idea to be mixing THREE benzos! I took Klonopin for four months in 2004 and got addicted in a bad way. ... (6 replies)

... Hi, sorry about your reaction....just a little side note .5 mg of Valium is a lower dose then Xanax...Klonopin would be more equivilant. Either way, don't be afraid, it shouldnt even be as strong as the Xanax, but it will last longer. (13 replies)
Klonopin taper

... I have used all the main stream benzos, Lorazepam, Xanax, Klonopin, Valium and Temazepam. I always started out at the lowest dose for that particular benzo, but always had to increase to much higher doses within a few weeks. I loved them and still do, but I know now that they are not the answer for a life long treatment for anxiety. I still keep a script of 1 mg Lorazepam on... (29 replies)
... After posting this, I quit cold turkey by my own accord after taking xanax, klonopin one a day (not the same day) for a month or more to try and get off that crutch and deal with it via the "just be" tip on here, and its gone VERY well so far. The first 2 days were HELL though, dont know if it was the withdrawl or just too much going on, but anxiety went through the roof,... (7 replies)
... I very well could be anxiety due to the change in medication. you seemed quite comfortable with xanax. Klonopin is a good medication in my opinion. It lasts longer in your system. I take it now as needed. I used to take it every day. (8 replies)
... My Klonopin has been the only thing I've ever tried that has stopped my panic attacks, which are quite severe. ... (12 replies)
... No, it really doesn't matter what type, unless you have bi-polar which is usually treated with different meds than depression. Most anxiety & depression are treated with ssri's. If you cannot tolerate them, like me, then they try tricyclics which are the older depression meds. Also, the benzo's like xanax, klonopin, ativan etc. Even the best pdoc is not always sure which... ... Hi patty818, Benzodiazepines (Xanax, Klonopin, Valium) can be addictive. However, not everyone becomes addicted. I was on a Benzo for 10 years and did not become addicted. Of course your PCP scared you and really unnecessarily. You are taking such a small amount I believe your fear of seizures and addiction is unfounded at this time. (1 replies)
... I've taken Xanax for several years as needed for my panic attacks/anxiety. I dont' have any negative side effects at all. It just helps to calm me down and get back to normal. I wouldn't worry about taking the meds. They have been really helpful for me. (12 replies)
... I was afraid of this too. I've had a bottle of xanax for a month and have been too afraid to take a .25mg pill because I have a child and didn't want to be a zombie or something. ... (12 replies)
