... I've been on Zoloft for ~10 weeks now. I recently began taking it in the morning instead of night. I feel drowsy the whole day. Drowsy is probably the wrong word. I feel "pleasantly sedated." Any Zoloft advice

... Zoloft will take at least 2 weeks to kick in. One HUGE problem is that the first few weeks it might actually make your anxiety 100x worse. After the first week my anxiety shot up 100x. I couldn't do *anything* It started going down 2 weeks after that. I felt fantastic after that. Now I don't even remember what anxiety feels like, except when I drink too much coffee. You... ... If you think you need caffeine for work, etc. try introducing it back into your lifestyle VERY slowly. I only have one normal cup of normal coffee every morning, and i do okay. ... you should avoid excess caffeine if you suffer from anxiety. No matter what med you are on. I have to limit myself to one medium size tea a day. ... Hmm, you've made me realise I NEED to cut out my caffein. I love my 1 cup of coffee I have a day. I just love the taste of it. When I'm tired, and I'm trying to plough through my work it gives me the right boost. ... (6 replies)
... The whole not feeling yourself thing takes a while, I wont lie to you. I had such a great personality before I started getting these horrible panic attacks and agoraphobia. I just now 8-9 or weeks after I started to get my worst symptoms am able to crack jokes and have a little of my personality come back. But in short, it took about a 4-5 weeks on meds to feel half way... (32 replies)
... I know EXACTLY what you are going through. Our reactions to meds are almost identical down to the letter! I once was able to tolerate caffeine, psuedophed, and Zoloft all very well at one time also. ... (26 replies)
... I've had anxiety for as long as I can remember and it's getting worse. One big fear I have is that I might become schizophrenic, because other members in my family first began having anxiety that escalated, and eventually a breakdown resulting in 'authentic' schizophrenia (voices, delusions, etc). They did not medicate their anxiety, though, so that's my "hope" for not going... (1 replies)
