Hi....my name is Karen and I have osteoarthritis throughout my body partially
from herditary and a long career in dance. Xrays show bone and your arthritis
would have shown up in the hip and pelvis; however, if you get an MRI this
will show soft tissue as well....possibly a tendenitis or bursitis in your a psoas
muscle or you might have a sciatic nerve impingement since one of the symptons is pain in the buttocks and it radiates down the leg. This would be
a blessing rather than looking for arthritis of the hip. Soft tissue problems,
whether they be tendonitis or bursitis can usually be cured through stretches
shown to you by a physical therapist or with a cortisone injection in the
tendon that is bothering you, hope this helps......Karen
