... I had the same reaction to advair and I finally figured out what it was. I also figured out what the corrilation between low carb diets and the sore throat. Advair contains the steriod and one must be very carful to rinse your mouth out as well as garggling after use. ... (9 replies)

... noaone....did the symbicort work for you? i havent noticed any side effects, unless sleep trouble is one, but i had that anyway. also, i must be even more careful than with flovent to always rinse my mouth/brush after meds, or it can lead to thrush (yeast infection of the tongue) or geographic tongue. i found a pic by accident in a med journal that is exactly what i get. only... It can make it easier to get a yeast infection in your mouth (just because the powder sits concentrated in there, that's why you're supposed to rinse, it spreads out in your lungs) but that's really it. Thrush Question

... if it is true that yogurt helps, I can tell you why! Acidophillus. I keep a bottle in the refrigerator, because it is the ONLY thing I have found that works for yeast infections. If Thrush is a fungal infection, as is a yeast infection, that would explain why the acidophillus helps. ... (2 replies)
