... Pulmicort is a steroid, Maxair is a bronchodilator. So pulmicort wouldn't replace MaxAir To the original poster: Xopenex! Awesome med if you have issues with albuterol. Up until December 2005 it was only available for the nebulizer but as of December there is now a Xopenex MDI...its called Xopenex HFA.
