Spiriva and Asthma

... Flonase. A couple of months ago I was having an "episode" and ventolin did not seem to work. He put me on a 10 day course of Spiriva and it gave me the relief I needed. He has since put me on it regularly. In Canada it is marketed for people with COPD. Is anyone else taking Spiriva? ... (1 replies)

Brittle asthma

... Hi, I'm not sure if my asthma would be called "brittle asthma" because my doctor said it was a term that they usually use in the UK (I'm from the US), they call it "severe persistent" here. ... I've been using Spiriva since 2001 - before it was approved in the US in 2004. It is the one medication I would never be without. Sometimes it takes a while for it to become effective, but in most cases it does wonders for those suffering from COPD. It is actually a big brother to Atrovent and used once a day instead of the 4 times a day that Atrovent requires. (8 replies)
