... Hey T Welp,,,went to the stinkin doc today,,,woke up and felt like a freight train parked on my chest,,,then rolled over me! Ends up I have Broncitis,,,eeeeerrrr. Ton of meds,,,all that stuff. ... You're not getting the full effect from your Advair when you take it only once a week. The steroid in Advair needs about one or two weeks to kick in; right now you're only getting the long-acting bronchodilator in it. Your asthma may not be very well controlled. ... I agree with what Blue said in her last reply. Talk to your doc. You do n eed to quit smoking, but you know that. Too thin out mucus in lungs, throat, nose, drink PLENTY of water. Also, get some over the counter guifanesin. That can also help. (6 replies)
... Hi Brochitis usually involves green or brown sputum, which is coughed up from the lungs, not clear mucus which comes from the nasal passages. It also normally involves coughing, shortness of breath and a temperature. Have you been allergy tested? If you haven't it may be worth getting it done. I don't really have any other ideas! ... Hello Sounds like you have post nasal drip which is the bain of most drs lives as it can be difficult to control. Its likely that it is caused by an allergy to something. Do you find that it is worse first thing in the morning? If so you could be allergic to house dust mite, quite a common allergy. Try getting protective covers for your pillows and matteress. ... If your inhaler isn't do the job it is time to seek a Dr and get a med change if that is all it takes, you could have bronchitis and may need antibiotics to prevent it going into pneumonia. (9 replies)
