... Hello, I don't usually post on this board but I have always had asthma which is usually well controlled with Seritide & the odd puff of Ventolin when required. Earlier this week I caught a cold which rapidly went to my chest & the asthma got really bad. My Dr diagnosed Bronchitis & put me on antibiotics & prednisolone. ... Your welcome :) Thats good the antibiotics are helping to some extent. Antibiotics usually only work with infections so you must of been right all along. ;) The sore throat could be a sign your coming down with a cold in a couple of days or maybe it is brough on by the medication. Read the little leaflet thingy and see if that tells you anything. Oh try gargling... (18 replies)

... Ok, thanks for telling me that. I did feel a bit faint earlier today and I have been feeling light-headed and dizzy for the last couple of days now I come to think of it. I'm seeing the specialist tomorrow so hopefully I will get some proper medication and not just my own prescription :eek: (18 replies)

... Thanks Quincy, I was already on Dulera 200 which is a pretty strong daily preventative. Dulera contains an inhaled corticosteroid called mometasone furoate and a long acting beta2-agonist medicine (LABA) called formoterol fumarate. I switched to that a few months ago from Advair 500. I'm already on Singulair. Monthly, I also receive Xolair injections for allergic asthma.... (15 replies)
