... Cutting your Advair dosage during allergy season isn't the wisest idea. Maybe after you're done with your antibiotics (7-14 days?) you could start Singulair again. ... I wouldn't worry about it too much. As long as it isn't affecting your daily life and you're not using your rescue inhaler more than two times a week. You FEF may take a while to raise, especially with the inhaled steroids. They can take a bit to kick in. Feel lucky. My FEV1 is usually at 45% or so, and that's the big number they go by. ... think it had to do with the fact that Flovent is absorbed much quicker than Pulmicort is, and if any of it settled on my vocal chords, I didn't have a chance to cough it out or rinse it off before it burrowed its way in there and hypertrophied my favourite muscles. ... (20 replies)
Asthma cough

... Well, I don't know of anyone who enjoys taking oral prednisone. I was just trying to point out that if the inflammation is extremely severe, the meds she is taking may not be enough to resolve the problem. Of course, she may have reflux also. I usually end up on 1 or 2 steroid bursts per year, which is much better for me than not being able to talk, work or function at all,... (20 replies)

... just an update...the advair is great!! I'm on prednisone right now so it's hard to tell if the advair is going to work as well as when I was on all the puffs of serevent and flovent but I'm hoping. ... (11 replies)
... rrible coughing attacks. No wheezing, no shortness of breath. The doctors don't seem concerned anymore because his breathing is fine. They don't have to hear him cough his lungs out 4 or 5 times a day. Is this still asthma? ... (3 replies)
