... An ACE level as high as yours would make me highly suspect sarcoidosis, which causes chronic cough, arthritis, and is treated with Prednisone. There are also pneumonitis issues associated with lupus, which the ANA test can be positive in, but also + in other... (37 replies)

... e any other meds. Last night I went to the ER and they pescribed some more Prednisone. I am experiencing some acid reflux so that might be what is trigerring the cough and I think I might need a daily med to control my asthma.. I will be seeing my doc soon so I will let her know about my acid reflux and about changing my meds. ... (9 replies)
... Are you on a daily inhaled steroid asthma medication? (Asmanex, Flovent, Advair?) Perhpas you need another course of Prednisone? How long were you suffering before you went for treatment? ... ACE and sent me back to my Pulmonologist. He said Sarc is a possibility but that the steroids would be worse for me now. I really don't react well to being on Prednisone very long. ... I sure hope that you will have good news for me tomorrow. That you have/had a good night's sleep. If you do go to the ER, you can tell them that you don't want the prednisone, because you don't like it for your reasons. They will probably give you something different or just some antibiotics after they see what's on the chest x-ray. I am going to be out of town all day... (52 replies)
