Were you aware that stress is one of the number one reasons for back pain? See if you can go one or two days not thinking about your back. Lay off of the pain killers as they set up a cycle tricking your mind into believing that you are in pain.
You might be able to get through this entire thing with exercise, positive thinking, breaking old habits, and more tests to set your mind at ease.

If you have jumped all of the hurdles that insurance requires, ice/muscle relaxers, anti-inflammatories for acute pain....then an X-Ray....cortizone shots, pain pills, nerve blocks, EMG, physical therapy, and finally pain management, maybe they are telling you that you have chronic pain. I don't think that anyone has found cure for that one yet.

Anytime you suffer because of an accident, if you have an injury, unless it is a bone which heals stronger than before the accident, it will be a weak spot in your body.

just my experience,
