[QUOTE=wolebearsnc]well I had to reschedule my 2nd injection from last friday to this friday due to mother nature [we live in NC]....we had a southern snow storm & had to reschedule my injection till this week...am scared to death that the same thing that happened w/the 1st one is going to happen with this one....
the procedure was ok BUT the next day I woke up to the worse pain I have ever felt in my life....my hubby had to carry me to the bathroom as I could not move at all....
was fine the day after that BUT am haviing 2nd thoughts about what these injections are suppose to do...hahah
the pain is worse AFTER the injection then before....am not to sure that I want to have the 3rd one IF this one causes the same pain the 1st one caused...

Hello, I know the pain you are talking about. For me, the pain afterwords lasted 2 days and it was definately worse than when I went in. However, I had been told this would happen by my Dr. so I was expecting it and after the 2 days, I was completely pain free. So, looking back on it, it was worth it. I was also told that the epidural works for 50% of the people who get them. and for that group, they usually work well. But you take the chance basiclly, that you are in that group. I know it sounds wierd, or at least it did to me, but I was more nervous of the 2nd shot than was the 1st. Go figure...I really understand your conflict. I guess you need to look at how much releif you got after the pain went away. Also remember that people usually get 2 or3 shots before they get the full releif. (at least that is what I have been told.) Good luck and my prayers are with you. Lorie
