Well I'm just getting frusterated! I had a laminectomy in mid december and came out of that with a lot of leg pain and after another MRI my doc said everything looked ok and that my nerves where just pissed from the surgery..well I went through PT and felt that most of my nerve pain was leaving and now I've been done with that for about 3 weeks..but my leg is starting to hurt again. So now I've got back and nerve pain and I'm almost 3 months post surgery! My doc did say early on that I may need a fusion because of my crappy disk and I also have spondylolthesis, so now I'm wondering if the nerve pain may be coming from being a spondy also the back pain, (which I never had before surgery) I'm gonna start electrotherapy on Tues but does anyone have any advice or similar situations? Should I just be more patient with my healing? Any spondys out there?

Hi...I had a laminectomy/disectomy last june 2003 , I have gone thru weeks of physical therapy...it takes time, give your self at least 1 year, I am now almost 9 months post op, and I still have leg pain now and then, not all the time, but if its been a busy day for me, I know I'll be hurting later on in the day...so all I can tell you is give it time, if it gets so bad you can't deal with it then tell the doctor....and walking helps out alot during the healing process...

try to keep getting pt from your doctor also, don't lift heavy items, your not ready for that yet...well good luck to you

I am trying to remember all you background of all the posting we all do. Hard to remember exactly, I know you had a laminectomy/disectomy back in Dec 03, and now you had a Fusion... after your laminectomy/disectomy on Dec, nothing really changed? you didn't feel any improvement at all?

You know, I am at almost 1 year post op (July16).. I have been having horrible pain right in my disc... excruciating pain. My leg or feet don't hurt .. it is just right there in the disc. Is this normal? I mean I was working at my desk and literally had to throw myself on the floor and I was screaming in pain. Took 2 Vicodin at once cuz I could not move. I am feeling really high right now  I am telling you, the pain is excruciating Like back to square one. Does anyone have that pain still right in the disc after one year post operation?.

So you said you had a baby on November 2003? Gosh how did you go through pregnancy? Did you have a herniation on that period or happened right after? On 3/5/04 you said you had a baby 5 months ago.. Can you tell me your experience when you feel up to it? I was thinking to close my eyes and try to get pregnant regardless the pain, but if I have attacks like the one I just experienced, how am I going to survive it?

You said you had laminectomy/disectomy last June 2003, how are you feeling? This month is your first b-day. Are you feeling like me? or you are totally off painkillers? Please let me know.

How are you feeling, you had surgery about the same time of us. Are you having less pain? Can you tell us how you feel?

Man, this forum just helps me so much emotionally. I thought I was going to die 45 minutes ago, and see where I am right now, typing and telling you.. like if you were here, right next to me. Maybe because you guys can understand what I am going through.
