I have a constint annoying pain or whatever you want to call it just under my left breast and my lower left shoulder blade. Mostly in the front. sometimes it seems to go from the front to back, to the side, sometimes staight thru. Neurosurgion looked at MRI and said he doesn't see any pinched nerves.Doctor has looked at many X-rays and has saw nothing,PT hasn't helped either. Sometimes when the pain is in the back shoulder blade I can also feel it in my left ear because I get a slight ear ace. I sleep fine at night but when I get up it starts about an hour later, gets to a certian point and stays there the rest on the day. What could it be before it breaks m bank account.undefined
HI there,
I don't think I can help you...but at least you will know you are not alone, which this site has given me that comfort!
Ihave had for about 3 years a pain under my right shoulder blade...more like a dull ache. I also get tingling down my left arm and into my fingers. My last doc pretty much treated me for anxiety as I felt I had something terrible wrong with me. I have another doc now, and am going for my results of x rays etc tomorrow. It is really starting to drag my down...as it never seems to leave...I also have a tightness in my neck. I hope you can get some answers.

I'd investigate a possible disk problem. You are describing the exact symptoms I was experiencing (left shoulder/shoulder blade pain, arm and hand pain, numbness, tingling, etc.). MRI showed bulging disk at C-6/C-7 level. I had ACDF surgery 3 weeks ago. Pain/numbness in arm-to-hand is nearly gone (I was told could take up to 6 months) and shoulder blade pain has receded dramatically and improves daily. X-ray may not be best at catching this, so you may need to push for an MRI.
