Star....I also have the left leg, hip and lower abdomen pain. Of course mine has been ongoing for 4 years now. I begin having pain in my back in april 2001...I worked everyday 10 hours a day from april till august. I would have to have help getting out of bed in the mornings, then I would go to a chiropractor before I went to work and alot of days I would go on my way home from work for deep heat massage. I did that for 4 months. Then I had an mri and was sent to a spine specialist. He did a laminectomy at l5 s1. I did great after that and was back at work full time by November. Then in March 2002 I fell and ended back at the spine specialist. That is when he did the fusion. From the day I fell until now I have lived with pain worse than anything I have ever felt in my life. I honestly would rather go through 10 hours of labor everyday and have a baby than feel the pain I do because of my back. The last doctor I saw said that there was nothing that could be done, but I don't buy that........I am going to see another doctor next week. I believe that eventually a doctor is going to find out why I have the pain in my leg, hip and abdomen. I also have no feeling in my left foot and pain in my back (feels like it is at my tail bone). As for the feeling of slipping or clicking in your back. I have that also. Sometimes it feels like bone grinding against bone also. If your not getting any better before may 2nd, it wouldn't hurt to call the doctor and let them know what is going on. Don't let it get worse by waiting.

I wish you all the luck and hope that things work out ok for you. Keep Smiling!!!

Yes, I tried the TENS but it caused so much pain they had to turn it off immediatly.
Seems like all he would need to do is the FORANECTOMY and just make the holes larger. What are the risks of that making things worse? or does it?
I was told that a LAMINECTOMY removes the bone that supports the buttocks, and once it is removed the butt just sags, is this true?
I just want to be able to walk and sit long enough to watch a movie without being in pain. The TLIF & Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion was a complete success, just dealing with this. But after I came home from the Hospital 2 1/2 months ago, I almost took a bad fall which might be what is causing all this.
I see him on the 3rd of May and want to know what I am talkin' about when I do.
It's my back and I want a say in whatever he wants to do, if ya' know what I mean?
Thanks,
StarDust
