I had a myelogram that mainly pointed to Left sided problems,, I had a laminectomy/disk of the L4-5 the last week of Feb. to remove a huge herniation, I had the surgery to correct a compressed nerve in my left leg. Now for weeks after my surgery I am having horrible pain on the right side of my back. Can't sleep on that side, can turn over , If I am on my back and want to turn to sleep on my left side I have to use the back of the headboard to turn over because of the pain. It is so hard to pinpoint the pain as it is very deep , but seems to be opposite of the surgical incision for my Lam L4-5 Now I am wondering if something has happened in my spine since the surgery that would cause a shift to the right side. I am taking Lortab which helps with the pain, but the pain is getting to the point several times before the Lortab kicks in I have wanted to go to the emergency room for the pain. This morning I couldn't sleep again and when I got up I could hardly use that leg, the pain going down the back to under the knee, it seem to have gone away with me walking around.. so I am wondering if I have a compressed nerve starting in that leg.It feels cold and like it is not getting blood supply to it. You can check out my previous myleogram post.. it does talk about another possible nerve problem at the L-2 but seems to be left sided. Could that have changed to the right??? I had this myleogram in Feb? Do you think I should just let my Pt doctor know that is is getting worse , will he contact my neurosurgon?, could it be related to the position that I was in for my previous surgery? I did have a few episode of butt pain on this side but not like the left side. I also have pain in my groin.Anyone ,,, help. NewLeaf
