Hi - It would have been nice the dr you saw could have suggested how he thought you might achieve this goal. I have over the last 2 and a half months learnt to walk with a very up right posture. For the last 15 years or so I have been slouching fwd placing extra strain on my lower spine. I have achieved this my walking on a treadmill placed in such a way that I can see my reflection from side on - I was able to monitor my progress. It wasnt easy and I experienced pain in my thoracic spine which had to be treated as part of te process. Now that my spine is use to a more upright stance I am having very few problems with my thoracic spine

Scolliosis sufferers often swim to alleviate or assist with the prevention of a serious curviture in the spine. I would encourage you to see a physiotherapist who could design a program to help you achieve this goal step by step and without any undue pain.

Hope this is of some help to you

Losy
