I have scoliosis in my back and the doctor says its not bad enough for surgery. It does hurt a lot but I've learned to live with it. But, lately my shoulder has been popping a lot and it kinda worries me.

First of all, I've got to say that I started back to school in September, which means all those heavy books and walking everywhere are a strain on my back and then two weeks ago I started back at my old job as part-time. This involves lots of typing/computer work. Every since I started back to work, my right shoulder has been popping quite a lot especially when I'm working at the computer. It's never done this before and it doesn't hurt when it happens although I have noticed the pain in my shoulder is a little worse than it usually is (my back/shoulder hurts a little all the time, if you have scoliosis then you know what I'm talking about). My curve is to the left so my hump (I don't know the technical word for it) is in this same area where the popping sound is (my right shoulder/upper right back). My mom says I may be getting arthritis in my shoulder. Could this be the case? If so, what does this mean?

It doesn't really hurt bad enough to go to the doctor (plus I don't have insurance right now) but I'm just afraid it's going to get worse....
