I'm 3 weeks post op a lumbar laminectomy, and my leg and buttocks pain is the same as before. I'm taking vicodin and soma. I couldn't take the zanaflex that was prescribed when I left the hospital because I had hallucinations and extreme dry mouth. So I called last week and was prescribed the soma instead. It isn't helping - - makes me real sleepy, though.

I've had a laminectomy before plus a fusion - - this is my third back surgery, but this time there seems to be no difference. Could the nerves just be "angry" and stirred up, or does anyone have any idea what's going on? I guess if I knew this was normal and had happened to others maybe I wouldn't be so concerned. I'm just looking for answers. Thanks, you guys.
