I know this is long, but please read if you have time. I don't know what else to do.......

I've been to the doctor's office many times over the last 16 months. My symptoms started with lower right sided back, flank and abdominal pain. It's a burning pain, sometimes feels like there is pressure also, especially in abdominal area. Also felt in the pelvic area at times.

This lasted three months straight, in which time I saw three doctors, one told me I needed paxil (anti-depressant), one told me it was kidney stones, and one told me if I had kidney stones I would be in so much pain I couldn't talk. He ordered me an abdominal u/s, which was normal.

After three months the pain went away, and I thought I was done. But a month or so later the pain came back. This time I went to the OB-GYN who ordered a pelvic u/s. That came back normal.

Pain went away after a few weeks, but came back again. I went and saw a different doctor, all of these are connected by computer by the way, so he looked at my record, pushed around in my stomach, and told me I was fine. He said go home and play with my kids and enjoy my life. Hard thing to do when you are in pain all the time.

I tried the chiropractor. Thought he'd at least do back X-ray. He ignored what I told him about the hip pain and all the problems I have, and just adjusted my back. I didn't go back. Didn't see a point if he wasn't going to take the time to figure out what was actually CAUSING the problem.

My hip started hurting along with the other burning pain and pressure, and I went to a different OB-GYN. He told me I may have endometriosis, although he didn't really think so. He put me on the pill to see if that helped. I gained 5 pound in a week, felt like crap all the time, and went off.

When my pain got really bad in September, I went to the ER. They did a CTscan on my abdomen, which was normal.
My pain went away for 2 months, came back for a few days in which time I went to the doctors again. He diagnosed me with IBS.

It went away for a few weeks and is now back. It feels like a burning pain in my lower back and right side along with the lower abdomen.

I now also have a lot of hip pain in THE OTHER leg, and pain that actually goes all the way down my left leg into my foot. It's on the outside of my leg, not the back, so I don't think it's sciatica. It really hurts in my hip, and there is a spot on my rear that I can push that is really sore.
I had a hip X-ray last Monday, but don't have the results yet. Doctor told me to take 3 Advil - 2X a day for 2 weeks to see if it's bursitis (I guess) or a strain. I've been doing this a week and my hip is worse. WEird thing is it's not the same side as my back pain.

Please, if anyone can give me any idea as to what is causing these problems, I'm at my wits end. The doctors think I'm a hypochondriac I can tell, and don't spend much time on me. I've been diagnosed with IBS as my pain on my right side, back and abdomen, so I don't think they'll do anything else about that. I can see a bunch of different docs, but they all have my record on computer, so they look at all the trips I've made to the doctors and just brush me off. I'm switching insurance next January if they don't figure this out before then. But until then, I don't know what to do.
