Hi, I had back surgery July of 2006. 4 cages, rods and screws . Anyway, I noticed after the surgery, besides the fact that the pain was still there from my scoliosis ect.---I was also having flu like symtoms 24 hrs. a day. And I ended up with high blood pressure too. But anyway the Dr. did some tests, cause she suspected I was low on adrenalin, abnd sure enough I had adrenal fatigue. Caused, she said, by the back surgery. Fatigue was one of my symtoms. Here are more symtoms: bad smell and taste in mouth, pain all over the body, nausea, hard to walk cause so weak, depressed(ofcourse) night sweats(and day sweats) intolerance to cold, goose bumps that hurt. There are more , but these are the worst. So anyway, I just wanted to tell my story. Good luck to all of you!! boomer

Sorry it's taken so long to respond...been busy (want to saying "dying" to qoute Bob Dylan song) fightin' Work Comp.

I learned recently on same day that I have high blood pressure (well, that confirmed after a year of blood pressure checkin') and high cholestral and super high tri gylserids (told should be around 150. Mine is 600--Yikes).

Doc asked me to do more exercise, I remind her of my back and neck surgeries and all the pain and problems associated with it and she lowers her head knowing exercising ain't in the program presently--well, exercising the way she wants me to. It isn't a case of poor diet though...heredity and lack of exerise.

I read what you wrote, and so much of what you suffer I suffer too. I'm always fatigued. I spend a lot of time in bed (pain) but also just really tired and worn out. Thanks for the heads up on the adrenal deal. What test was ordered to find that you have adrenal deficiency?

Aloha...
