Some of you may remember my post last week about some serious lower back pain I've been experiencing since 2 weeks ago. Well I've concluded that it's more than likely a pulled/sprained muscle(s) back there. It only seems to hurt when I bend over or when I extend my legs too far (like walking for example). The muslces just seem to be very strained.

I have an appointment with my doctor to have a look at it, but in the meantime what are some good lower back exercises I could do around the house? Lately I've tried sitting flat on a chair, stretching my legs straight out, and lifting them up to about waist height. It's supposed to strengthen my lower back muscles.

Any other exercises I should know about/should be doing?
