Have you had a full evaluation by your doctor including a CT and MRI? And then if that shows anything a referral to an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon or Neurosurgeon may be needed.

If there's a level of disfunction in the spine, such as a herniated disc or a level being a bit unstable, some movement you don't even realize could cause something to move (disc to move a bit, etc) and then you get the spasms. It's not uncommon for spine problems to cause pain in the genital area. The nerves in the spine transmit signals to various areas of the body. Check out a spine dermatome chart and it will show the area of the body and then indicate which level of the spine is associated wiht that. The numbness in my leg, which was sciatica, has a typical pattern of where the pain is felt in the leg(s).
