I hear you as I had 2 kids within 13 months and yes, your forever lifting and trying to balance one on your hip. Hubby has a pinched nerve in his neck and wears one of those cervical soft collars and it really helps him.

Spinal tap???? That would be my last resort as well just like the back surgery. Did they give you Gabapentin (sp.?) They wanted my husband to take that and after reading the side effects he said..NO thanks!!!

As far as the muscles..yup, hubby has it and he gets soooo frustrated as he was always so trim and fit. He is on a lot of meds. due to some poor health problems, so who knows exactly what is causing it.

Hopefully you get a Dr. that will really look into your problem and offer some relief. It really is ever so frustrating to not beable to do what you want.

Wishing you well and keep us posted...JJ...

Yes, I hear you. My last two kids are 14 mos apart and I am forever balancing one or the other on my left hip. This is habit, and they don't like the right side so it's no doubt awful for my posture.

Today my arms feel weak and at mass I was barely able to lift them.
I don't understand - if this is a neck issue, maybe there is some inflammation going on? Supposedly I had a virus, after all. Maybe it's flaring up?

Not knowing answers is maddening.

I am sorry to hear about your health and your husband's. My spouse has lower back issues, but he fights thru it without much complaint. He's tall and has had lumbar issues since he was 15.

Does PT help w/ regaining muscle? I am scared the muscle loss is from something else. I have an apt at PT this week and I am looking forward to them trouble-shooting my issues. I sure hope I can get strength back.

My blood work is always normal. My lung xray was fine (I wanted one done, and so dr ordered it). I go for a heart stress test this week (I wanted it done, so she ordered it).

I want to cover all my bases.
I am looking into an apt w/ the neurosurgeon as suggested on this board.

Do you (or anyone reading) have twitches in your body? The kind that feel like crawly bugs? Is this anxiety related or is it from the spinal compression?

I hope everyone feels better soon. This is craziness, living like I'm 60 when I'm 37 and was always a healthy person!
