Back Problems Board Index

I first want to thank everyone in advance for your time. I am new here, and have spent the last several hours reading through this board. I see that the people really try to help, and after going through years of this stuff I need some direction.

On my birthday in 2003, I was involved in a car accident where I was rear ended. Since that night, I have been in terrible pain that seems to only get worse.

My MRI Says the following under the findings section:
There is a transitional vertebra at the lumbosacral junction, which appears to represent artial sacralization of L5. For this report the transitional vertebra will be refered to as L5. Correlation with radiographic images of the lumbar spine are recommended prior to any surgical intervention.

The conus ends at the T12 level and it aooears within normal limits. There is minimal bulging of the T12-L1 Disk.

There is dehydration of the L4-5 and L5-S1 discs. There is a mild loss of disc height at L4-5 and L5-S1. No herniation of the L3-4 disc is noted. No central spinal canal stenosis or neural formainal stenosis is present at this level. Mild Facet arthropathy is noted at the L3-4 level. A small synovial cyst arises from the posterior aspect of the right L3-4 posterior facet joint.

There is minimal bulging of the L4-5 disc. A small broad based central protrusion of the disc is noted. No significant central forminal stenosis is noted. Small effusions are noted in the posterior facet joints of L4-5.

No herniation of the L5-S1 disc is noted. Minimal bulging of the disc is noted Mild Facet arthropathy is present at this level. The left L5-S1 neural foramen, is patent. There is severe narrowing of the right L5-S1 neural foramen, with impingement on the exiting right L5 nerve root.

My big problem lately is I dont have insurace, and none of the doctors I have been to are not willing to write the scripts for pain saying im too young to be on medicines like this. PLEASE HELP ME!

Sorry for any miss spellings.

Thanks,

Matt
