Hello,
I have this upper back pain in the shoulder blade going to the middle of the upper back. Last night, I had an irritable bowel episode, but I don't think that has anything to do with it. Anyway, I got some relief when hubby popped my back but then I sat down and when I got up, it startedreally hurting again and when I breathe in, it feels like something is jammed up. Has anyone ever experienced back pain to where it hurt to breathe in? When I turn my head one way, it really hurts my back. Any thoughts on this? Thanks so much!
You really need to have this checked out. It could be any number of things, but if breathing causes you pain it could be serious.

Not trying to scare you, I just wouldn't want you to ignore these symptoms.

Hope it all works out and turns out to be something insignificant.

Thank you. I don't have insurance until next month. Was just hoping to get some idea's.
Hi if it effects your breathing it's normally your thoracic spine. Thoracic spine is joined to your ribs you could ask your husband to push on your ribs towards your spine and try to make it pop back in. You will feel by your ribs exactly what vertabrae it is, it will be the one that hurts, if it thoracic.

Thoracic is the part of the spine between the cervical and lumbar. Your spinal cord runs through it.

Don't know how the system works in the States but if it's effecting your breathing you should try and get something done sooner rather than later - if it's just been out for a short time it is easier to put back in, the longer you leave it the harder it is.
