Well, I have completed physical therapy for the third time. I now have a functional capasity exam next week and am awaiting the date for an independant medical exam. I do not have any idea what to expect from either. I do not understand how they can determine my condition and capability to return to my job in just a couple of hours. I am really unsure of what I am capable of doing when I have not been doing anything that may cause the pain to worsen. It's probably not that I can't perform one task, but the results are why I usually avoid them. I don't vacuum because the next day I'm miserable. I don't lift heavy objects because of the resulting pain. How do you determine how much to do? Do they take into consideration if the tasks cause pain the next day? Most of the time that is when I know I have done too much. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
