Hello!

I don't really know where else to turn for advice, I've searched all around the internet (which probably wasn't a good idea), saw my doc etc. Maybe some of you had a similar issue.

In summer 2012 I was working on a project and I basically spend 3 months inside sitting behind a desk. My posture is horrible and one day I experienced horrible back pain and I noticed a lump (buldge or something) on my lower back on the right side, maybe an inch from my spine. Brushed it off. Almost a year and a half later, it's still here.
The pain I'm experiencing is not severe (it was at one point, but gor much better)..I feel it at certain moves like everytime I bend over or sit in my car and lean to close the car door etc..but this pain has always been on just one spot on my back -exactly underneath (i can't explain better) where this buldge is.
The buldge itself does not hurt. It feels pretty hard, but I can move it (not much, but I can).

Lately I've had this weird pain (not exactly pain but..a feeling of tighteness) on my right upper back (mostly when I breathe in deeply). Also my right hip occasionally feels numb (especially when I'm sitting - If I'm walking or doing excercise or even just standing, it's ok).

No night pain, night sweats, weight loss, loss of appetite..nothing like that. Just this annoying back pain. Also, the buldge hasn't grown in size, it might have even gotten smaller.

Doctor said it feels like a lipoma, but he's not sure so i'm having an ultrasound in January. Better safe than sorry I guess. He didn't sound worried though.

Do you think it might be something serious? I'm freaking out it might be cancer, even though common sense tells me it's probably not.

I'm a 23 year old woman, overweight (about 15kg), with Hashimoto Thyroiditis and no history of cancer in my family for at least 3 generations.

I'd appreciate any thoughts you might have on this...thanks!
