... Missree, Sorry to hear that you are having pain. Glad that your doctor is working to find the source of your pain. "HNP" means herniation. It sounds like he suspects a disc hernination in your probably in your lumbar spine (lower back) since that area is your chief complaint. And the central.. i think he means.. possible herniation being central rather than bulging to... (4 replies)

... Not all medications are narcotics. The one I take, Arthotec, is an anti-inflammatory drug. There are many others of its sort out there, such as Vioxx. They are much stronger than Tylenol.
