... Hopefully, the coccygeal manipulations have moved my tailbone enough so that, when the steroids wear off...I'll still be more comfortable sitting. Cross your fingers! ... (10 replies)

... HI rlcowboy! Sorry you suffered so much yesterday. :( Typically, they try to do the discs they Think are bad, and one they feel is Not bad so to have one to compare to. You said all hurt. ... Hi Christina! My groin pain is mainly the pubic bone which feels like it is horribly bruised! :( At times, it will just throb down there....usually to my right side. If this is similar to what you're feeling....the doc I saw today (one of them) after my caudal injection said that it is due to my out-of-whack-back. I guess my sacrum is twisted to the, my lumbar... ... Hi Mo! I've had 4 injections thus far - and am going for the 5th on Tuesday, 8/12. Here's my take on them. 1st 2 were Right Transforaminal. I was more sore after 1st one than 2nd. Neither helped at all. 3rd was lumbosacral epidural. That numbed my tailbone for about 2 days. Then, return to pain. (16 replies)
... Hi Niterider! Seems that doc has the old 'God-complex' going on! Good for you that you requested 2nd opinion. For Heaven's sake....would HE go into major surgery of ANY kind w/out getting 2nd opinion? I wouldn't want him to touch me after that little show of true-self. Do you have appt set up for 2nd opinion yet? Never had a reason to get 2nd opinion yet (hope it... (15 replies)

... Hi Katt! Sorry about your back giving you problems....but, you've come to the right place! You mention the spasms in T area. I have that, too - and it has little to do w/ that area. On MRI - I have 'straightening of normal lumbar lordosis' - straight back. Good - I thought. WRONG. Doc said back is in major spasm. He said... (3 replies)
... Dear Anne.... I am So sorry for your loss. I have 3 sisters and had one brother. He passed when I was 14, he was 18. ... Hi all! I had Caudal Epi Inj 7/28. Feels like it's addressing tailbone pain. I AM able to sit for longer periods w/out having to shift or stand. For that, I'm thankful. I have another sched for Tues 8/12. Thursday, 7/31,, I had some pretty severe 'zapping' in my right hip, travelled down my leg to the toes. Stopped me in my tracks 3 times. Called doc. Sect'y recorded... (8 replies)
... Hi Colleen! That Is strange. But, it doesn't mean it ain't happenin'! If my docs would have listened to me almost 3 yrs ago... maybe they would have been able to take care of this tailbone thing ALOT sooner and saved me lots of money/time & Pain. Don't give up. That's the best I can tell you. What kind of docs dismissed you? Good luck! :) (3 replies)

... Hi Traidey! Sorry to hear about your problems! This thing called pain gets the better of the best of us, that's for sure! I've had the discogram.....but, never Nucleoplasty. BTW Nucleo is considered minimally invasive surgery... so, you should be well sedated - unlike the discogram, which is done to provoke your pain, letting the docs know that your pain IS... ... Hi Lisa! I'm happy that you have new meds that might help w/ the anxiety! My sister takes Klonapin for anxiety in addition to a 'coctail' of anti-d's for clinical depression. She swears by it! The great thing about it is that, if you're close to an anxiet attack? It kicks in pretty quickly, or so she's said. I used to take Ativan for anxiety....and she's taken both.... (11 replies)

... Hi Jboynten! It's good that you got your MRI films. Did you get the report too? Is that where you see 'bulging disc'? And, does it say how large a bulge? The reason I ask is that, as my sig will show, I have a 'small' bulge - measuring 3mm. So, the NS didn't want to go digging - which is good, cuz if he'd said "SURGERY" - I would've said - "2ND OPINION".After a... (8 replies)
... Hi Stillwater! You are looking for more 'conservative' treatments? Have you been to a Pain Management Doctor yet? The one I go to is affiliated w/ the Cleveland Clinic and offers: biofeedback, accupuncture, opiod therapy, ESI's, music therapy and there are more. :) Perhaps that is something you could look into and stave off the surgery decision if that's what you choose. ...
