... Hi all! :wave: Well...discogram done yesterday 10/6. Positive for discogenic pain @ L4-L5. They are scheduling NUCLEOPLASTY and DECOMPRESSION for me. It will take 6-8 wks to get in. What is recovery time for these procedures? Doc said it will only take about 45 minutes in OR and that it's an out-patient procedure (which I expected). Any help w/ this w/b appreciated!... ... Hi Ken! :wave: As Linda posted...yes, it's a problem w/ most opiates to some degree or other. I get quite bad taking perc, too. Noticed it when I was taking vicodin as well. Lots of water and fiber, as stated. Stool softeners help sometimes, too. If it gets really bad, ask your doc for miralax. My sis says that's very good and doesn't cramp like a simulant drug like... Glad to hear you're doing so well so soon after IDET! :) Could you tell me what kind of restrictions your doctor gave you, as far as lifting (how heavy) and length of time before you'll can expect before you can resume all normal activities? ... Hi Pain! :wave: When you say you have 'back & feet' problems...could you be a little more specific? It might help us to help you. One thing I can say is that I have numbness on top of my right foot...and sometimes feel like the skin is tight across it....and my ankle feels very stiff. Hi Colleen! :wave: Sorry to hear that your 'treatment' seems to have made things worse. :( Hopefully, this is a temporary thing...and, once your body becomes 'readjusted' to being 'in' - the pain will subside. Hi TOO! :wave: I swear I posted to this...and you responded. :eek: Maybe I'm losing my mind quicker than I thought? ;) It is a diagnostic test that provokes the pain...trying to replicate your 'every day' pain - in order to see if one of your discs is causing your pain - or is 'discogenic.'
