I have a few minutes so I will cut and paste some terms that you can type into the Google Search engine and it will give you a broad view of what you are looking at. the mri showed spinal canal stenosis, narrowing the AP diameter to 6mm Look up stenosis. entending to the c7 consistant with myelomalacia secondary to cord compression cord compression (20 replies)

... napamike Ya know, I just looked up stenosis and it said the same thing that my doc said, stenoisis is narrowing, not necessarily pinched nerves. Because the area is narrowed, it is invading the space that the cord uses. That is not good, especially in the neck area.
