... well just a quik update,,,,9 days post op now and off the pain meds,walking longer everyday i take my cane with me but really walking with out it,,pain kinda comes and goes,,all and all i feel good no real setbacks,,thank god . there is some swelling around the sight ,,getting up and down is still a choir any way,,hope all is well with all of you,,,post some more in a few days... ... Hi. Had an L5-S1 Diskectomy/Laminectomy with Dynamic Stabilization a month ago. Due to a goof by a nurse's aid, I was allowed to eat a full diet just hours after a 4 hour surgery. This led to an Ileus, followed by abdominal pain worse as bad as the surgical pain, which led to mouth breathing, which resulted in post-op pneumonia. My hospitalization was only supposed to...
