... I ask my Dr. about that once because my neighbor's grandmother was bone on bone and she's fine No pain . My Dr. said she could have fused on her own. I wouldn't want to wait that long in pain to see if I would fuse alone or not. But the rhizotomy may help for the other pain. ... (12 replies)

... My SI nerve was irritated. If you have a nerve that is dying I'm not sure what the ablation would be for. An RFA is not a permanentmethod, it's meant to last a few years until the nerve crows back and again functions "normally". Some people have 1 ablation and find long lasting relief (such as a few years). My SI joint nerve pain is lesser than before the RFA. (16 replies)
