Smoking&surgery?

... quite frankly,when it comes to the human body,anything is indeed possible,really.very seemingly unrelated issues can in some cases be very much related,its just how our bodies are.things are all inter connected to each other in some pretty intricate ways.given your symptom,i would most defiitely have at least a strip run.it wont show everything that can possibly be wrong... ... I have asthma and recently I got smoke inhalation due to a fire in my office building. I had horrible pains in my rib cage area- under my breast and in my back where my lungs are. When I went to the ER, pulmonary dr, and a massage therapist they all said that it was the stress on my lungs. Hence, maybe go to a pulmonary dr to have your lungs checked out--xrays maybe... Having strong back pain right across the top of the lumbar area, legs are getting weak, burning in the left posterier thigh, sharp pains in the buttocks......in other words, I'm a mess! Lol. ... I am so happy for you! I too smoke, and have tried to cut back some, not easy to do after smoking for so long. Glad you are fusing!!!!!!!!!!!!! I go at the end of the month for my 6 wk visit, and we'll see where I'm at. ... (9 replies)
... GEEZE 14, heck no, YOU are a MUCH stronger person than I - omg. I could not fathom it. All I do is lay, I go this wed to the dr, and hope he does says something! I usedto cry on the way to the dr every time, for fear he'd give up on me and tell me I'd be stuck how I was, after the first surgery, prior to us knowing I was reherniated so large. ... tice things like numbness on my thigh, tingling feet, soreness of my legs. I checked all those symptoms out by doing a search on back pain and learned that those pains were from my S1 I believe. If you can convince your doctor, do have the cadaver bone, the recovery is easier. ... (7 replies)

... Hi lisabell...Health problems of any type do not recognize age.... Definitely go get it checked out. If your regular Dr. sees no problem, then he/she isn't really doing their job...My Mom had 7 kids and several micarriages in-between and she never had any pain like you are talking about...
