... I don't know why he waited so long. It was exactly 3 weeks. I think I had to keep it dry but toward the end of the 3 weeks I let the shower hit it. Then I had my husband put some NeoSporin (sp?) on it. I never wore a brace after either like other people. Guess they are all different. Any odor or oozing may definately be infection. ... SAP2008, I think it the amount of activity must be very dependent on the individual. I'm still on the percocet (18 days after surgery), but I am able to walk for 30+ minutes, and sit just as long (in a very comfortable desk chair). If I let the pain meds wear off, I do get very uncomfortable though. As much as I hate them, I want to make sure I continue to move to promote... (27 replies)

Not 1 time has it helped me, I know this time will be different because I'm having it done this time for my fusion.
