I want to continue to take this med if it will continue to give me pain relief...I wonder why the Dr.'s here are ok with writing scripts for Ultram/Tramadol, and they won't write them for the vico. or oxy....I have never quit hurting for the last... ... Hi Mammy I take Ultam ER. I did not have the itching that you are having, but I do have the consitpation ( spelling ) that you are talking about. Try a stool softner or more fiber in your diet, that works great for me. I am glad that you are getting some pain relief from this med! Works for me some days others it doesn't. Pain Med Update

... It is so odd how different every doctor is!! I am 4 weeks post op, and have been on Norco (same thing as Loracet) since 4 days after surgery. I only had oxycodone (percocet) for 4 days. Then Norco until today, where I have now been bumped down to Ultram ER, once a day, a non-scheduled synthetic opiate. Last time I took Ultram, it didn't do a thing for pain. I am still on... Nothing Second, I take 3 100mg Nuycenta (for Nerve pain), 1 200mg Ultram ER (for Nerve Pain), and 1 Mobic (for swelling). Even with these meds I can't do much of anything.
