... I would wait on the equipment until you are further along in your healing. It will really depend on issues that cannot be known at this time. I wasn't able to use exercise equipment until about 14 months post surgery. I had a lot of instability that was corrected through fusion, but it was at the expense of my SI joints. ... (16 replies)

... L5 that I know of in 1997. This progressed to DDD which had been confirmed by a discogram. After that point I had two additional herniations in that disc. Usually within 6 to 8 weeks the worse of the pain would go down after an "event". ... (81 replies)
... Usually a stationary bike is OK. Some elliptical trainers are OK too, but it really depends on the movement. I know at the club where I go there is one machine that the trainers thought I could use as it just mimicked the motion of walking. Many of them are too much like a stepper.... ... (54 replies)
