Re: Mole Removal
There is no way to remove a mole other than surgery.

Skin tags are different. My doctor recommended just cipping them off with nail clippers. I actually just pull them off.
Crossbow..you are wrong there. You can remove moles with a product called Bio-T (search the skin forum for more information) or another method (can't remember the two ingredients..I think its baking soda and castor oil...don't quote me on that though..I've been reading too much today and that may be something else...but it is listed on the skin forum in a thread somewhere!), although the second isn't always as effective. The problem with either of these two methods is that 1. You really should have a doctor send the mole off to be checked out 2. The moles generally swell/develop redness around them before falling off..which can take either 3-8 days or so. 3. The scarring results may be worse (though I have read of good ones for many people) 4. The mole doesnt always come all the way off (you may be left with half of it).

If your searching for more information about moles..there is a HUGE thread about them on the skin forum. Good Luck :) .

Well, I can see why my doctor didn't tell me about those techniques; they sound dangerous, unless you're absolutely 100% sure the mole is benign, which you can't tell without a biopsy, in which case you'd be removing the mole anyway.

I have a very large mole on my face (On my jaw, near my ear), but since it's healthy, my insurance won't cover removal, and anyway my doctor said the scar would look just as bad or worse. So I just call it a beauty mark. :D
