just another question, aromaleigh had different kinds of powders, (i.e. the new refined one and others like the illuminator,) which one is best?
The silicones were added for people who have sensitivity issues with MMU - the silicones provide a "buffer" between the skin & the minerals. I think people with dry skin also like the silicone.

I can use the Glissade, but have found that the Voile works best for me.

I used to get cystic acne (hormonal), but rarely do anymore. With my skincare routine, I rarely have any breakouts at all unless I try a new product that clogs my pores. If your skin is dry & flaking, you're probably going to have problems with using a powder. If you can exfoliate most of the flakes off, you can try mixing the MMU with your moisturizer & applying as a liquid for better results. Then you can put on a light dusting of MMU as a finishing powder.
