Re: Need help!

If you are new to makeup, I would suggest going to a department store to get some tips! Most places will do a free makeover and show you how to apply the products. You don't have to buy everything from the department store, but I'm sure if you buy one product from there, they would appreciate it. I buy a nice foundation or powder since those are tricky to match, but I buy cheaper mascaras since I find plenty of cheap ones that work great!

I use Bare Minerals foundation powder. There are a lot of good different kinds of mineral makeups. They look natural and are easy to apply. You just need a very soft brush (the kabuki brush is best), tap it in a tiny bit of powder, tap the extra off, swirl it in the cap to spread it evenly, and then apply it to your face in a circular motion.

For eye makeup I wouldn't suggest anything too tricky. Eyeliner can be be tricky at first, so if you want to try it, stick with a lighter color and not black (at first). You can build your way up. Mascara is always good to open up your eyes. There are brands that have those spikey looking brushes, which are good to keep away clumps. If you want to try eye shadow, I would also stick to a lighter color at first. Nothing too bright or dark!

Good luck!! If you have an Ulta or Sephora near you, they are great about showing you makeup tips! You can tell them you are a beginner and they will show you a bunch of products and how to use them. Have fun!
