I am very broke these days, and when I started running out of my make up..well first a hospital kept a whole new bottle of Lancome which is my favorite. That was $36. Then I got some Clinique for $22.50. Since I found out that Loreal supposedly owns all these companies, I bought some Loreal, a new foundation that is supposed to be the newest and best for about $13.50. Plus I got blush free because of a sale the store had.

I have ultra sensitive skin, and so far it is not breaking me out. The color matches are not that great compared to going in a store and getting matched by the more expensive ones, but when you are broke you have to get by somehow. I think most people would really like this foundation and it comes in a pump bottle!!

The blush goes on darker than it looked in the container, but I can work with that.

Just my experience with having to be more frugal.

It's actually Estee Lauder that owns Clinique. Lancome is not affiliated with Estee Lauder Companies Inc...however, MAC is. L'Oreal is the one associated with Lancome, apparently, which is odd, because when I worked at Estee Lauder I could have sworn they owned L'Oreal. I checked both corporate websites though, and it doesn't look like it.

Regardless, it just goes to show that many top of the line companies also make more inexpensive products. I've always liked L'Oreal's skin products...definitely see no reason to spend more money on foundation.
