Okay, so, I'm new (first post) to the HealthBoards,
and I wasn't sure if this was the right place or not to post this,
but it seemed appropriate.

Okay, on to my problem...

My lips have been very chapped for, I'd say, 3 weeks, maybe 4.
I've tried putting everything on them (most stuff) such as; Neosporin on the corners of my mouth and in my soul patch area (where there are cuts), Moisturizing Chapstick, normal Chapstick, Carmex, and I just started on Blistex Medicated Ointment. Nothing has been working. There is also slight swelling around my mouth, I'd say as far around as maybe a centimeter. Also, my lips peel very bad because of this, and I have to exfoliate them once, if not twice daily. It seems as though the cuts re-open every time I open my mouth, and frankly, it hurts.

If you guys have ANY ideas, please, please, PLEASE help me out!

If you guys need pictures, I'll try my best to take some.

God Bless,

Thanks a lot
First, put some sort of chapstick or balm on your lips (I like plain chapstick- in the black tube- or just vaseline).

Then, after a few minutes, exfoliate your lips to get the dead flaky skin off.
You can do this by scrubbing them with a washcloth, or by brushing them gently with a soft toothbrush.
Your lips will remain chapped unless you exfoliate the dry chapped skin off of them.
After you do that, apply chapstick again.
After a few days of this, you should notice an improvement.
Good luck!
