... No, no, no - don't use baby oil on a self-tan. We use baby oil to REMOVE a self-tan. It's mineral oil. And a lot of lotions contain mineral oil. Also, any lotions that have AHA in them or are hair-growth inhibitors will mess up your ST. Curel is one that is known to cause problems, too. ... I forgot to mention the Lore Vive Nutri Gloss for long hair that is damaged. It was an amazing conditioner and worked when my hair was very overbleached at a salon. I used more expensive products, including the very moisturing Biolage products (which I like as well), and the Nutri Gloss worked the best. ... I also like Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle. It's great in addition to your regular products! For an inexpensive brand, I was very happy with Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine. It really adds a lot of moisture. I use it when I have bleach put in my hair. ... I use towelettes for tanning. Yves Rocher or Tan Towel. Because you're from Canada you might try Shoppers drug mart. They have their own brand of towelette. (LIFE BRAND) Any of these work great on your body and on your face. What I do is cut a piece of the towelette off and use the rest for your body and use that piece for your face. ... I've tried various self tanners for the face, and honestly they're all horrible. First off they turn orange more than the body lotions. They cost the same amount for such tiny tubes of product (ridiculous). For example, when I tried Jergen's Natural Glow, the big 7.5oz tube of body tanner was about $8, and a small 4oz tube of face tanner cost exactly the same. So not worth... (4 replies)
